As part of the project early works, Locaters Pty Ltd was engaged to provide a full 3D utility survey targeting locations identified as potentially conflicting with design and construction activities.

Our role was to collect and distribute Sub-surface Utility Information accurately and efficiently to the project management team.

Project issues:

  • Semi-rural environment
  • Sydney Water catchment area
  • Ethane gas pipe
  • High-risk utilities including high pressure gas and optic fibre
  • New developments not yet shown on DBYD plans
  • Working in the median of the M5 Motorway

How we helped:

  • Gained detailed understanding of client requirements
  • Managed subcontractors including traffic control and potholing
  •  Assisted in design of ‘Permit to Disturb’ procedure
  • Implemented and managed ‘Permit to Disturb’ on behalf of client
  • Undertook detailed site mark up for survey
  • Provided utility Identification and reporting
  • Delivered data in PDF plans and CAD formats
  • Identified and implemented customised deliverables to Rail and Main Road formats
